"Even though construction in his area is not scheduled to begin until 2013, the head of the York-Eglinton BIA is already concerned about a lack of planning and communication by the TTC. “It can’t just be about laying track,” said Nick Alampi, who owns Andrews Formals. “The city has to start looking now to tear down buildings to turn them into temporary parking facilities,” said Mr. Alampi. | 2010 Commercial Façade Improvement Program | ||
| This program is available to owners and tenants of buildings used for commercial purposes at street level located in eligible BIAs listed above. Under the program the City funding is equal to one-half of the cost of the approved improvements to a maximum grant of $10,000.00 ($12,500.00 for a corner property). Applications for work totaling less than $5,000 are ineligible. For assistance in calculating the maximum potential funding for your project, please call 416-392-1820.

| Art Starts is thrilled to be partnering with Dusk Dances to produce this outdoor, pay-what-you-can dance event at Earlscourt Park for the next three years. The event starts nightly at 7pm and will begin with the infectious beats of the Samba Squad. Audiences will then journey through the park to witness innovative dance pieces by Black Ice Step Team, Kate Franklin & Meredith Thompson, Zata Omm Dance Projects and two of Art Starts' very own LadyNoyz (leading a crew of 10-13 year old dancers from our after school programs!) and Paul Thurton's Mixed Magik crew.
